American Sports Talk Idol

Posted in Uncategorized by wolferadio11 on January 19, 2010

For those of yall who are wondering ‘why does the URL redirect back to the car show site…that’s simple.  We’re working on new site right this min.  The Observer article site really covered it well.  Email your audition audio to (and a photo).  We’ll have more specific contest rules, timeframes, and clarify questions on the new site that will be up shortly.  Long/Short:  If you have an aspiration to be a broadcaster, if you think you can add to the show in a positive way, then send us an mp3 showing your stuff.

If you have an idea that is outside the box, send it.  If you are a woman, and think you need to be on the Greggo show, send it.  If you are a preacher, and think you can save the world, then by all means send a 7 min or less audio file sampling your best work.  Don’t send me a tape saying “we’ll I can do better than this, but here ya go”  Keep recording your audtion tape until you get it right. First impressions are everything, all we can do is give you the opportunity.   This sounds silly, but look at what Idol did for music, some of today’s biggest stars went through this same talent show pageant format.  Many a household names were found this exact same way…Kelly Clarkson Kerri Underwood, Adam Lambert, Clay Aiken, Jordan Sparks, Ruben Studdard, and the list goes on.

If you aren’t good at sports talk, but think you have what it takes to be a radio star, send your tape too.  You never know what could happen.  Here’s your chance .

I’ve got some old stuff from last year at the ESPN station on my computer back home, but I’m not sure how good it is. Would you want me to just make a 7 or so minute recording on my computer now?
