SAAB Story: Spyker and Tiger in a scramble for Sweden’s Saab

Posted in Uncategorized by wolferadio11 on December 23, 2009

As of Tuesday Morning, Russia’s Spyker is still ignoring Tiger Woods sudden death interest in the SAAB auto line.  Woods (the businessman?) is seriously negociating with the powers that be at GM-Sweden about purchasing the entire company.  Woods has retained the services of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group as the deals consultant.  Woods superstardom over the years put him in touch with some of the world’s most powerful people.  Hence, financier’s on the Woods-SAAB deal are Dubai’s wealthiest banker, Mashreqbank’s Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, and Kingdom Holding’s Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud of Saudi Arabia.

Look’s like Tiger may be better at picking his business partners than his bedmates.  He has brought the heavy artillery into the SAAB deal.  A source claims Mr. Woods has already supplied a letter of intent to the courts, and wants the SAAB deal approved no later than new years eve.  Russia’s Spyker has told GM their offer does not have a time table attached.   Someone needs to tell Spyker, that Tiger plays to win.

 – A senior Swedish government official said on Tuesday it remained unclear whether Sweden would need to make guarantees for European Investment Bank financing in support of a deal to sell General Motors GMGMQ.PK unit Saab.

No word yet on if Woods old lady has let him back in the house yet.  That’s the real SAAB story.  Real Deal is fortunate enough to have an insider on the Woods Saab deal, stay tuned to Real Deal Auto Blog and Saturday morning radio show for more updates.
